Missions is our ministry to people who are geographically outside of the Indianapolis-area. The purpose of this ministry is to fulfill the great commission by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, making disciples and relating to the whole need of mankind – both spiritual and physical. The Bible is the basis for our missions activities because it gives us the mandate for world evangelization.
We are committed to missions:
- To fulfill the great commission of Jesus Christ. (Mt. 28: 19-20; Mark 16: 15; John 20: 21; Luke 24: 46-49; Acts 1: 8; Acts 26: 16-18)
- To show God’s desire of revealing Himself to all people by the spoken and incarnate Word. (John 3: 16-18; 1Tim. 2: 5; Eph. 3: 4-6; 8-11; Luke 4: 18-19)
- To fulfill our mandate to minister to the totality of human need as the avenue to tell about Jesus and His plan of salvation. (Mt. 10: 42; Mt. 25: 30-46; Luke 16: 19-31)
- To be a blessing to all people/nations and to reconcile all men to God. (Gen. 12: 1-3; Isa. 49:6)
- To bring all people to a saving knowledge of God. (Rom. 10: 13-15; 1Cor. 9: 19-23; Jude 22-23)
Our Current Focus
- MISSION TO ETHIOPIA - With our Missions’ objectives and mandates in mind, we have begun ministry activities in Ethiopia.
- MISSION TO ERITREA - At present many countries and international organization are very concerned about the persecution of Christians in Eritrea. Many believe that more than 3,000 Christians are behind bars because of their faith. They are detained in metal shipping containers and kept under inhuman condition. As a result of this harsh treatment some have died in prison. By God’s grace, some have managed to escape to neighboring countries like Sudan and Ethiopia. Currently, we are committed and even taking some actions to help the persecuted body of Christ in the country, including financial contribution, organized prayer programs and some other activities. Please join us in prayer so that God would open the door for Christians to exercise their faith openly as well as the kingdom of God will be expanded in that nation. “And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it” 1Cor. 12: 26.
