EVANGELISM

We strongly believe that one of the main reasons why we exist as a church is to proclaim the good news of the Gospel to the world.  Even though our main target groups are Ethiopian and Eritrean immigrants, there are many unchurched people in Indianapolis metropolitan area who need to hear about the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.   We are intentional on evangelism and outreach programs and everything we do is geared toward reaching others for Christ.  This includes fervent prayer for the lost, training, equipping and sending out people, relational evangelism, advertising, conducting conferences and other events,  finding a way to serve the community and using all other windows of opportunity which would help us to expand the Kingdom of God in the area.   We are also becoming partners with other Churches in the area in order to fulfill the great commission together.  (Mark 16: 15; Math 28: 18-20; John 4: 1-42; Rom 10: 8-18; Acts 18: 9-10; Acts 4: 20).

 BIBLE STUDY 

 
We believe that all believers needs to be taught the Word of God extensively so that they would conform themselves in the likeness of Jesus Christ. God calls people not only to give them eternal life but also to give them grace and gifts so that they can use it to edify the Church and expand the Kingdom of God.  We believe that the Church has the responsibility to teach and disciple their members to present all mature in Christ.  Hence, our church has an emphasis on discipleship and offers different classes based on the spiritual maturity of the people.  (Rom. 8: 29; Col. 1: 28; Math. 28: 18-20)

PRAYER 

​

 It is very easy to be consumed by Church activities and overlook the need of giving strong emphasis for prayer life.  We learn from the Book of Acts that one of the three major areas the disciples of Jesus Christ committed to do is strong and fervent prayer.  

Our Lord Jesus clearly taught us that without Him we can do nothing.  Hence, our church is committed to grow in our private as well as corporate prayers.  

To this end, we have a weekly prayer and fasting programs you could attend to.

MISSIONS

​

Missions is our ministry to people who are geographically outside of the Indianapolis-area.  The purpose of this ministry is to fulfill the great commission by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, making disciples and relating to the whole need of mankind – both spiritual and physical.  The Bible is the basis for our missions activities because it gives us the mandate for world evangelism.

MINISTRY TO ADOPTIVE FAMILIES

​

The goals of the Ministry to Adoptive Families are:

1. To help adopted children stay connected to their identity.

2. To bring the adoptive families together frequently to have fellowship and open the opportunity to share their experiences with each other.

3. To help families with any problems or concerns related to raising their adopted children.

4. To teach the adoptive families and their children about the culture, language, history, religion, holidays, cooking, geography, braiding, ethnic groups, and a host of other items related to Ethiopia.

To accomplish the above stated objectives, we will have a regular gatherings at our Church. The programs typically last between 1 ½ to 2 hours. Any family who has or is planning to adopt from Ethiopia is welcome!

In each gathering we will offer the following:

• A class and discussion for adults- including Q & A sessions.  We will have special guest speakers from time-to-time.

• There will also be class for all children who are older than 4 years.  There will be a childcare for all other children.

• There will also be a refreshment and fellowship time.  Once in a while, depending on your interest, we will also have the delicious Ethiopian dinner.
